MedLix is intended to be used after choking rescue procedures have been performed are unsuccessful. We recommend the Heimlich as the first line of defense standard choking protocol.

How long does the delivery take ?

Once an order is placed, it will generally take 1-2 business days to have it processed. A tracking number will be issued to your email. Typical delivery takes 7-10 business days.

Can I use MedLix on myself?

The MedLix is equipped to use on children as small as 10 kg (22 pounds) or heavier, utilizing the child mask. The adult mask is for use on full-sized adults and seniors. Both the child and adult masks are included in every Home Kit and Travel Kit.

Unlike the traditional Heimlich Maneuver, MedLix is also effective on those with illness, disorder, medical, or other health-related reasons.

Can MedLix be used more than once?

The MedLix device is one-time use-only airway clearance device. If the MedLix device is used in a choking emergency and has saved the victim's life, the unit should not be used again for sanitary reasons. If used, please contact us through our website to fill out a "Report a Life Saved" questionnaire. We will contact you and gladly replace your unit free of charge.

The MedLix unit can be used multiple times if the obstruction is not dislodged on the first application. The masks should be inspected and consider replacing every 2-3 years.

Does MedLix have an expiration date?

No, the MedLix doesn’t have an expiration date. This means the MedLix kit covers your entire family for life. If you have to use it, we will replace it absolutely free.

Do you need to be laying down to use the MedLix?

The MedLix can be used in any position. (Sitting, standing, laying down).

A one-way valve in MedLix works by allowing air to flow out of the airway but not back in. When you pull the plunger, the valve opens to create a vacuum that helps remove the obstruction. When you push the plunger back, the valve closes to prevent air from being pushed back into the airway.
